With the proliferation of electric and hybrid vehicles, engine noise has been substantially reduced. However, road noise and wind noise have become relatively more prominent, making the enhancement of cabin quietness and speech intelligibility an essential challenge.
Active Noise Control, which cancels unwanted noise by generating sound waves in anti-phase via secondary speakers, has attracted significant attention as an effective solution.
In this research, we constructed a 1-input 2-output 2-control-point (1I2O2C) feedforward ANC system considering the spatial configuration inside a vehicle cabin. Based on acoustic transfer paths identified from measured impulse responses, simulations were conducted using a normalized FXLMS algorithm that accounts for acoustic interference between secondary sources. The results demonstrated effective noise attenuation across multiple control points in the low-frequency range.
